Your Islamic (Hijri) age is your age calculated using the Islamic lunar calendar, which started from the migration (Hijrah) of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from Makkah to Madinah in 622 CE. Because the lunar year is about 11 days shorter than the solar year, your Hijri age is always slightly higher than your Gregorian age.

The Hijri calendar uses lunar months (approximately 29.5 days each), making the Hijri year about 354 days, roughly 11 days shorter than the 365-day Gregorian year. This means more Hijri years pass in the same period. For every 33 Gregorian years, approximately 34 Hijri years pass.
